About me
My name is Monika Bengueddah, and for many years, I have worked with great passion as a psychologist and social pedagogue. My professional experience has been shaped over the years, during which I have had the opportunity to support a wide range of individuals—children and adolescents, parents, teachers, people with disabilities, and those struggling with mental health challenges, including schizophrenia and psychotic disorders.
Working with people teaches me every day to be attentive, empathetic, and to appreciate the small steps that lead to significant changes.
For many years, I have primarily focused on working with children and adolescents and supporting parents who sometimes just need a "second pair of eyes"—someone to help them view difficulties from a different perspective. I believe that every child has immense potential that can be uncovered if we give them space, attention, and time.
In my work, I value relationships, play as a form of therapy, and methods that enhance a sense of agency, such as Kids’ Skills – I Can Do It! and I’m Proud of You – I’m Proud of You.
As a psychologist, I am a member of the Swiss professional associations Föderation der Schweizer Psycholog:innen (FSP) and Kantonalverband der Zürcher Psycholog:innen (ZüPP). My diploma has been officially recognized in Switzerland by the Psychologieberufekommission (PsyKo).
Privately, I am a mother to a young girl who poses me every day new challenges and who opens my eyes to the world in its purest form. She teaches me patience, helping me to see the importance of following one’s own rhythm in a fast-paced world. Since August 2022, I have been living in Switzerland, where I am not only learning German but also adapting to a new rhythm of life in this beautiful country.
